Reported By: Ryan - Leon, Kansas - August 2, 2001 at 12:08:51 Subject: UFO Sighting - Location: Leon, Kansas - Zip Code: 67074 - Date: 3/13/01 - Time: 8:40 PM County sighting took place: Butler - Witnesses: Shauna - Objects Shape: Fireball - Number of objects: 1 Object had lights - Object hovered - Additional Information: Up above a barn kind of. Way out in the country Event Description: One night I was going out to my car and I saw 2 really bright 'orangish' colored lights that were really close to each other. Then they just dimmed to nothing. It was late. I seen them above our barn. But you could kind of tell they were off in the distance. There was no aircraft flying around. When I seen them, I just knew they had to be a UFO. I was never really a strong believer in them or anything till then. Goose bumps ran all over my body, then I jetted back in the house and told Mom. Of course she never believed me. About a month or so later at about the same time we saw another one. It was late but warmer. I was with my sister and we were getting in the car. It was taking me a while to get in the car then I seen it again and it was in the same spot. This time there were several lights dimming and coming on like maybe it was rotating. I was like "LOOK!! LOOK! UFO!" She was like "OH MY GOD YOU WEREN'T MAKING THAT UFO STORY UP WERE YOU??!!" That made her a believer we freaked out so bad we sped off. We got to a black top road and seen a cop in an unusual part. We told him and he laughed. He was laughing because he got 3 more reports that same night!! On Mom's way home she also seen some. Think we are all believers now. Crazy stuff. Just writing this report gives me chills Top of page Reported By: Justin V. - Lenexa, Kansas - July 31, 2001 at 13:26:43 Subject: UFO Sighting - Location: Gardner, Kansas - Date: 07/29/01 PM Witnesses: 2 - Objects Shape: Unknown - Number of objects: 3 Event Description: We started watching for shooting stars Sunday July 29th, at about 11:45 CST caused by the S.Delta Aquarids. My friend and I watched the stars with only a few meteors until about 3:30. With nothing to see we were just staring into the sky, when at about 4-4:30 what appeared to be three stars started moving. I had been watching that very part of the sky for the better part of half an hour when they just started moving.
The three dots were perfectly spaced apart and formed a triangle and headed south towards the Constellation Cassiopeia, then slowly switched formation and headed west going away from us. From the time the three dots
started moving until we couldn't see them any longer was approximately five minutes.
Not that we were ever in the past true believers, but what my husband and I just saw at 10:47pm central time in Concordia, Kansas USA. really caught us off guard. We saw a cluster of flying objects....Not 4th of July
fireworks either.... They first looked like a fast moving "cloud" of 7-8 bright lights moving from west to east in the Very clear sky. There are "No" clouds in our sky tonight and the stars are very bright and lovely.
That is what we were looking at, was the stars, and watched this group of bright group of items moving quickly from west to east and disappeared into the sky. It was up high, no sound. My husband kept saying....Oh my
god, ET's !!!! It lasted about 30 seconds from the time we first saw it, till it disappeared into the sky. We thought it important to share with someone...that is why we looked for a place in the Internet. |
