Subject: UFO Sighting - Location: New Orleans, LA - Date: September 6, 2003 - Time: 7:30 PM - Zip Code: 70119 - Witnesses: 2 - Object's Shape: Oval - Number of Objects: 1 - Object had an Aura or Haze around it - Additional Information: Over mid-city New Orleans, moving over the city.
Event Description:
My husband and I were putting the groceries into the back of the station wagon in the parking lot of the Sav-A-Center on Carrollton Ave. in mid-city New Orleans.

I suddenly had a strong impulse to look at the moon. I looked up and hovering over our heads was a huge glowing orange disc. It was about 5 times bigger than an airline, roundish, oval in shape and totally silent.

I quickly told my husband to look, he let out an amazed explanation. We watched it move on a steady trajectory over the city of New Orleans, towards down town.  It seemed to move higher after a few minutes and suddenly "stood" on its side appearing to be a large disc.

It  was close to the moon and we noted that it was about 1/3 the size of the moon which was a slice shy of full.  The disc then turned on it's side, seemed to emit a silvery light and disappeared.

The whole sighting took two or three minutes.  We were just awestruck. I do remember at one point looking around the parking lot. There was no one around, but one guy walked out of the store looking at the ground. I couldn't speak, or yell or anything, I only wanted to look at the disc.

We went home, which is about 4 blocks from the store, immediately sat on our front porch to see if it showed up again. 

Within 5 minutes the Air National Guard fighter jets were flying around the city.  Did anyone else see this? It flew right over the city at 7:30 on a Sat. night.

Event Description:
We saw what I thought appeared to be a planet such as Mars with a reddish tint until I noticed it appeared to be swaying in the wind, although there was very little to no wind.

My girlfriend, mother, and father witnessed this also. During our watching it, it changed colors and disappeared completely for awhile. Later it reappeared. It seemed to be orbiting like a planet, but we all saw its erradic movements.

This was last night and my girlfriend and I witnessed it again tonight. It is currently out there at 1:00 A.M. central time. We have no telescope, but through binoculars it appears to be cigar-like in shape. We have a small local airport nearby, but I know that no jets known are capable of keeping such steady stillness and movement. I also know that no helicopter could keep such altitude or be so quiet in the process.

Any info on this??

Event Description:
It was late that evening and my son and I were coming home from the store, when I noticed three yellowish lights above the tree line. As we got closer, we could see that it was moving very slowly towards the North. It appeared to be spotlighting the tree tops. I did not hear any noise nor did I lose time or the electronics in my vehicle.

As we got closer, about 200 ft. away from it we could see that it was square. Very large, about two football fields put together. It had three yellow lights in what I assume to be the front and red and blue flashing lights on the back, two corners.

I found a place to turn around in hopes of getting a better look, but by the time I did, it had disappeared into the tree line beyond my view. By the way, it seemed to be about one story tall, lights were only on the bottom portion three across the front and one on each corner turning red and blue. That's my story. Last summer I also spotted five lights changing colors and moving very erratically across the sky. This occurred during the day.

Two months ago I took four pictures of glowing yellow lights appearing and disappearing in a row. They just seemed to hang in the air never moving and never falling. They just came and went. The whole thing lasted about 15 minutes. I was on the phone with a family member at the time the pictures were taken and she could see them from her house 10 miles down the road. When I got the pictures back the negatives and pictures were missing. Not blurred or to dark just gone. On the card they gave me and the disk I got shows that 14,15,16,17 are non existent they were completely omitted. I feel crazy when I try to tell someone about this. No one will believe me. I don't care what they are just as long as they leave me alone and not scare my kids anymore. Take this as you will. I don't care, it is off my chest.
