Event Description:
I was on a flight getting ready to land at Philadelphia Airport and we were in a turn over New Jersey, when I looked down and below our plane I saw 2 objects flying very close together.
 
One was semi transparent/white, the other was bright fire orange. They did not glow as if lit, but seemed to be a solid color.
 
The whitish object was slow and the orange object moved past it very fast and out of my view in about 1 second. I would guess the objects were 1000 feet below us, while we were at about 5000 ft.
 
I could not locate the objects again. They were both very close together when I saw them but were separate objects

Event Description:
Dear Sir:
I saw a white silver gray glowing object last night Sep. 3 2005 at about 2140 or 940 PM over
North Plainfield, NJ.
 
I was on North Drive in N. Plainfield going toward US Highway 22 and I saw it on my left side. At first I thought it was the moon but it was too big. It looked like a Saucer or a white coil floating in the sky. It might have been a balloon or spotlight but I do not think so cause it was so big and I saw it for so long. Any other reports about this?

I saw the MetLife blimp this afternoon but I believe my object last night was oval and a lot lot bigger and a lot longer and looked like someone took a fluorescent bulb and coiled it and just hung it up in the air at one point, I thought it looked like a saucer. http://iwasabducted.com/ufogallery/ufo59.jpg It looked the this picture with 3 or more rings not just one ring maybe all joined together. I do not believe in aliens but in this website.

I believe these craft are man made like William Lyne says in his book. This is my second sighting my first was in the 1970s but I did not report it and it was only a few miles away from this area. My 70s sighting was also oval but had multicolored quick rotating lights around it and was very fast. In my 20 years in the Aircorps, I have never seen anything like this sighting and my 1970 sighting.

Event Description:
I had just picked up my father from the airport and was heading south on the Jersey Pike.
 
We noticed to the South, in the sky, a light that was totally stationary. As we drove south the light became brighter and brighter and moved faster.
 
About 5 minutes later, we heard a loud WOOSH sound as the object passed directly over the car. It seemed to have lights extending out to the sides and possibly many tiny lights along side the fuselage.
 
As it passed directly overhead, my father thought that he saw funny writing on it like Arabic or something alien. It literally shook the car and as we looked back it seemed to land right at Newark Airport.
 
Funny though we never heard anything on the news about it the next day. I am sure that many people would have seen it other than us. To this day I just can't explain it.

Event Description:

I was at my beach house and looked out my bedroom window, and i saw a triangle shaped object hovering in the sky. It looked fuzzy or hazzy as it moved back and forth over houses next to the beach it light up windows in our neighbors house but, they were gone for the week. It was like that for about an hour then it rose fast in to the night sky until i could not see it any more.

I was up at the Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach going to get ice cream when I looked up at the sky and saw three colored lights in a row flashing all different colors.It was moving in all different direction very quickly. I showed my friend, but when I tried to show her it dissapeared.

Event Description:
I had just returned home from working the second shift at my job. My children were sleeping, my Dad was sitting in the back yard. I lived with my parents at the time, along with my small children. I was separated from my husband for a while.

Being a hot summer night, I decided to join my Dad in the yard, thought I'd unwind before going to bed. Sat in the lawn chair, looking up at the night sky. All the stars glowing so brightly.

Then to my amazement, I saw one move, jutting back and forth! Then I saw another one! I said to my Dad "Did you see that!" He laughed and replied,"I've been watching them since before you came home."

There were a total of 4, jutting back and forth very quickly, as if they were playing cat and mouse. Sometimes they would hover in the form of a square evenly distributed!

I hadn't seen anymore since then, but my daughter said she saw something similar in the same area, in the late 1970s. I saw them in the early 1960s.

Event Description:
I had just gotten home from work and took my 2 dogs out into the backyard.  I stayed on the deck while they went down into the yard.  I noticed how clear the night sky was and how many stars I could see.  As I was looking over the sky I turned so that I was now looking back over my house to the East.  I noticed 2 star like objects in the sky moving from south to north (my right to left).  They seemed to be high up and judging by that they were also quite aways apart but one following behind the other.

I didn't think anything much of it until the lead light veered east at almost a ninety degree angle and at a good speed.  When the second light reached the same point in the sky it turned sharply east also, again following the lead light.  The lights disappeared behind my house.  I came down off the deck into the yard to look out of the driveway but by that time they had disappeared. 

After getting the dogs back into the house a few minutes later, I went out onto my front porch which faces east.  I did notice what, to me, seemed like a little more air traffic than normal, but no unusual lights anymore.  The lights I saw did not trail anything nor did I hear any sounds.  If they had been stationary I would have taken them for just bright stars so I'm assuming they were fairly high up.

Event Description:
The date was around July 11 or so, was a Sunday night, clear sky. Three of us fisherman were at the dock at Veterans Stadium in Bayonne, New Jersey, when to the South over what the news reported was Carteret, New Jersey. We seen 6 to 8 round bright objects that we first assumed were aircraft in a holding pattern around Newark Airport.

We talked among ourselves, that they looked like saucers but, we kept on fishing while watching them for 20 min or so. This was reported next day, by all the news stations in New Jersey as UFO's, but no one had spoken of what happened before they left. It was as if someone took a picture with a camera that lit the entire area of the park we were fishing at. The whole place lit up like no one ever seen before anyplace. It was not lighting or anything normal, this was not reported by anyone else but then again, it only took 1 second or so.

This is the first time I seen UFO's, but whatever that flash of light was it came from the saucers, because they disappeared right after it at amazing speed. Well, I'll be looking at the skies more now.

Event Description:
It was reading of the recent New Jersey Turnpike sightings that made me decide to submit this, partially in the hope that someone out there can enlighten me on any follow-up to this sighting, as we returned to England shortly afterwards.

In January 1975 I and a friend were visiting friends in Philadelphia and combining the visit with a weekend in New York at (of all things) a Star Trek Convention.  A situation which, if you think about it, has much humour in it.  Memory is very sketchy 26 years on, but it was very late at night/early in the morning and very cold with a clear sky when we spotted a large cylindrical object with a bright forward light approaching us from one side of the turnpike.

At first we thought it was heading straight for us but it veered off and passed parallel to our traveling car. We were traveling at about 50 mph (guessing) and, as it passed us very slowly, it was either further away than we thought or traveling at little more 3 mph. Having watched it for a while, our attention was then directed upwards by Dawn, who was sitting in the back with my friend Margaret and myself, and this is when we spied the many, and I do mean many, flying lights in the sky.

Depending on how they were viewed, the objects displaying them were either diamond or square in shape; they certainly had 4 'corners' for there was a light at each one. They flitted, they flew, they appeared to hover, they joined and then separated, they came low and they went very high, some made up formations before breaking and others just sped around singly. In all they gave quite a show and kept us occupied all the way into New York, where the buildings hid most of the sky but at times we were still able to catch a glimpse.

There were, as we were informed the next day, others out there who had witnessed this 'light show' but we heard no more after that. I have never forgotten it, mainly because there were just so many objects showing off up there. A conservative guess would place the numbers in the dozens.

And that's it, really. Time may have fudged the memory a bit, and possibly I've forgotten something over the years. Sadly, I can't check with Margaret, as she died some years ago, and I have long lost contact with Floss and her daughters and her husband, who was driving, has also since died. Even if no one out there can remember this particular sighting, I hope it proves of interest.

Event Description:
 My family and I were returning from a day in Pennsylvania. We took the long way (the NJ turnpike). My wife was amazed at what she was looking at in the sky. I pulled over to get a better look. My daughter was getting upset because she did not understand what those objects were and, when one of them released an object, she began to cry. She was afraid they were coming to get her.

I put my car in reverse so that we can get a clear picture. As I was going backwards on the the highway, my wife noticed that the objects began to move. As they moved, they were beginning to form a line. Then they just disappeared and left an orange haze in the surrounding area. In all, there were at least 15 bright orange objects in the sky, that night, just hovering over somewhere in NJ.

Event Description:
I live in New York, and didn't see the reported sighting in Carteret, New Jersey. I heard about it on the radio news, NewsTalk Radio 77WABC, sometime in the afternoon, on July 16th, 2001. It was as follows:
V-shaped lights were spotted over Carteret, New Jersey on Sunday night. Hundreds of motorists on the road got out of their cars so they could look at them. Nearby Newark Airport reported nothing on their radar. That's what I heard. I would love to know more about this sighting, but so far I've seen nothing on the internet.

I was looking at a star when I noticed a triangle shape in the sky, all three corners were lit, and it appeared that the bottom was glowing. I pointed up so my friend could see it, and it changed into a "dot." It shot straight across the SW sky for a bit, and then shot up at a 90 Degree angle and disappeared. I asked my friend if he saw it too and he answered yes, we looked up again, and saw a much smaller "dot" that looked higher and dimmer, and it went in the exact same direction as the first one did...

It came from west to east (from the direction of the big dipper) at a high rate of speed and made absolutely no sound. Periodically, a beam would flash from the bottom of this craft as though it were taking a picture or something. The flashes were not rhythmical at all.

 Event Description:
 It was about 10:00 at night, and was a clear night. I was throwing something into the trash can out at the curb, and when I turned around and walked towards the house I looked up at the sky. That is when I saw something that looked like an airplane, but the lights were formatted backwards.

Flying west to east, there were three white lights, two in the front, leading it, and one in the back. There was also a steady red light in the center, which was not blinking, but glowing faintly. There was no sound like a normal plane would make, but a low humming sound. There were also no other planes in the area. I watched it until it passed; I did not have any cameras, so I could not get a picture of it.

I always look up at night and look for things, but I did not expect to really find anything around here. I think I saw the common triangle UFO. It was passing over my house, at a distance of about 300 feet up, and 100 feet away. It was moving west to east. I have always been watching the skies, and I know what one is supposed to do if something is spotted. I made sure I remembered where I saw it, day, time, weather conditions, anyone else around, anything else strange, etc., all I noticed which was strange was there were no other sounds at all. It was a fairly nice night, and usually people have their dogs out side. There are usually bugs out making noise as well. I heard nothing, absolutely nothing. It was strange, the only thing I heard was the low humming. When it left, I cannot remember anything like normal sounds starting up again, but I would not be surprised if they did.

Event Description:
I was driving west on 40 near the construction. There were other cars ahead of me. There was a regular Jet aircraft in the background of the sky, leaving a white chemtrail. There was also a crescent moon in the back ground.

I saw a silver in color metallic object, hovering in the sky. It appeared to be saucer shaped.  It lingered for a moment, then appeared to turn itself into a different position and the portion that was facing me was gold in color. The turning of the object was bizarre in its movement. It did not turn the way aircraft turn.

Then it did only what I can describe as leaving...it left and went back from whence it came. It didn't shoot away or disappear...it left.  It was more like it enveloped itself into another dimension.  It was gone. The moon was still there. The other plane was still there, the other cars were still on the road.  There was no noise associated with the sighting or anything else that stands out other than, it left me with the feeling of "Hey, was that what I think it was?"  This is my first and only sighting.  It seems not of this world, not balloons or munitions or air craft etc. I must assume that others saw it.  I bet the local air base knows about it.  That's it.

Event Description:
I'm not really sure what it was that my mother and I witnessed.  We were driving to my house together, and in the sky, we both saw 4 bright streaking lights. I must say though, they did not last very long, almost like a shooting star, but they were perfectly parrallel to one another.  My mother insists that it had to have been lightning. I don't know about that, I've never seen 4 parrallel lightning bolts run through the sky, nor have I ever seen 4 parrallel shooting stars.  My mother doesn't seem to want to discuss this any further, so I suppose I'll wait to hear if anyone else saw it and thought it to be strange.
