'The Mystery Guest in Peru' Reported By: J. R. - Brooklyn, New York - Monday, July 23, 2001 at 06:51:46 Subject: Unexplained Event - Location: 50 miles west of Lima, Peru - Date: March 14, 1998 Time: 7:00 PM - Additional Information: Near ancient tribal ruins - Witnesses: 1
Event Description: I had been in Peru only three days and was traveling with a friend as he visited family. One night after traveling the countryside trying to locate a cousin, we drove by a very dark stretch of country.
My friend began to tell me stories of the surrounding area and how old some of the ruins were (although I could not see them). He mentioned how rich the area was spiritually for the old Inca
tribes of Peru and that the local villagers respected that, which explained why there wasn't a modern settlement there.
He pulled over to try and shine some headlight on one of the ruins so I could have a better look. As
soon as he stopped, we heard the back door to the car open then close. The hair behind my neck stood on end and our instincts told both of us not to turn around. Even when I began to think to
turn, something compelled me not to. My friend put the car back into drive and headed back towards the main road.
We didn't say a word to each other as he drove (he was white from fear). The "entity" stayed with
us till we reached the bottom of a winding turn in which we had to stop to head in another direction. The door opened and closed once more with a powerful force. My eyes began to tear as we drove off.
Later the next morning we spoke to his uncle about the incident and was told what happened to us was not uncommon for that region. He said many ruins are protected by spiritual forces and that the
entity was probably with us to ensure we did not disturb the natural peace of the environment. He said we would not have been harmed so long as we did not leave the car. His last few words on the
incident were "Why do you think no one lives there?" Top of page

Event Description: Well, before my father died, he used to always go to this one bar on the way home from work. Then
he died of a heart attack in his sleep. I have 4 older brothers, and 1 older sister, so I'm in a family of 6.
One night, shortly after he died, it was a hot and sticky night. I couldn't get to sleep, so I went into
my mother's room. It was about 2 minutes before the time my father was found dead, in the middle of the night. I laid down next to my mother, and told her I couldn't get to sleep. She grunted a
response, then went back to sleep. The window was open, and there were long drapes in front of it. I looked at the clock, and it was 1:30, around the time he died.
In my head, I thought a message that I wanted him to hear. I thought," Dad, please give me a sign that you're okay." At that time, an icy, strong wind blew through the window, so strong that the
lace curtains went flying towards the ceiling. After that, the wind stopped, and the night was as hot and sticky as before. I didn't fall asleep for a while after that.
About 12 years have passed since that night, and more things have happened that I take to be signs from my Dad. Since there are 6 kids in my family, I have many nieces and nephews now. I have one
little boy of my own, and am happily married.
Every Christmas and Thanksgiving, we (the whole family) visit my Mom, where she lives alone. We sit
and eat at a huge, long dining table near an antique china cabinet my dad got my Mom one year for their anniversary. In the cabinet, there is a Christmas mug that I gave my father, and he always kept it on his desk at work.
This is the kind of mug that when you move it, or lift and tilt it to drink, it plays Christmas music. but, no one has touched it in 12 years, and the batteries are still running. I know that because
during the family get- togethers it plays music, especially when the family is saying grace before the meal. We all laugh, and say "dad/ grandpa is blessing us!" Also, the 3rd floor of the bar he used to go
to, is supposed to be haunted, and somehow an old family picture of us from 1970 was found in the 3rd story. Dad is always present in our lives, and we miss him.

Unexplained Event - Location: Cincinnati, Ohio - Date: 1/27/01 - Time: 4:30 PM Event Description: When I called my cousin, I didn't expect what happened. He said he was going out into the woods to
walk around. He walked deep into the woods and noticed a furry brown thing in the grass.
The grass which was up to his waist, started moving toward him. He took off for his house and ran
inside."What happened?" I asked. "Something was chasing me," he said. So he took his pellet gun and went back into the woods. He went back to the same site he went when the thing was chasing him.
He said he noticed a clear spot in the grass and went over to it. He said it looked like a nest. As he looked around we both heard a sound. He said that it was light brown although he couldn't see the
creature he knew that it wasn't over 4ft in height. He backed up and pulled up his pellet gun and fired. The creature stopped coming toward him and took off in another direction, making no sound.
He took off in the direction it went and he stopped a noticed some blood on the snow. He now knew that his shot hit the creature, so he started after it. The phone started to cut out, but I could hear what was going on.
He followed the trail for more than two hours. As he suddenly noticed that he got closer, he could hear it. He ran and got close enough to shoot it again, but then he heard some shots that weren't
his. He said they were hunters so he took off for his house. What we thought was so odd about this is, that when it got shoot it didn't make a sound of any kind. If you can think of something that is
4ft, lives in a nest, and doesn't make a sound, please post it up on this site. Top of page
January 14, 2001 - 'Was it a Star?'
Not a stranger to the subjects of the Paranormal and such, I have a difficult time talking about my
own personal opinions and experiences to such related topics. Having had previous knowledge and interest in these areas, I lose credibility even with myself. There are so many variables that
accompany these topics, determining the credibility and validity to the recall of related topics and experiences becomes a greater risk and adventure than the actual experiences.
I believe that the recall of specific events also trigger other previously experienced, subconscious events. Piecing all these things together is like putting together a 1,000,000,000 piece puzzle, and
each piece is covered with acid. One could imagine the scenario.
Approximately 8 years ago I was on retreat in Esopus, NY. The seminary we were staying at, was
located on the Hudson and the time of year was October. The weather was cool and the window to my room was open, but the screen was up. The sky was clear, except for the millions of stars that
were unobstructed by any of the modern-day light pollution that occurs at midnight. That's one of the things I like about traveling so far up, is that the air and sky are so clean and clear. One of my
fascinations as a child was to look up into the sky and just wonder and stare in amazement at all the heavenly bodies.
This night 8 years ago was no different. I was sitting at the window on the ledge provided by the
type of construction offered inside the room (Gothic in design), and doing what I do best. Observe. I couldn't help but to notice a very bright and large star located in the North sky. I automatically
assumed it was the North Star, being an amateur at identifying bodies so familiar to astronomy buffs. I sat and stared at it for twenty minutes. Being cognoscente of how time and subjects of the
paranormal and UFO related topics are relevant, I recorded the time I was viewing this star. Again, this fact may invalidate my findings or opinion as related or connected to the Paranormal, but being
less than honest would alter my own truth; and that is more important than what others think.
I also got the feeling that someone was watching me. I recalled thinking or better yet, recalled being
aware (by an inner voice), that the star could actually be a craft. I wanted to deny this because that reality would make me uncomfortable. Yet, for some reason I started talking to the star and
tried to provoke it to move as if it were a ship pretending to be a star. I laughed at myself as if I were somebody else. This became a game and I continued to try to prompt whoever was steering or
commanding the ship to move. This star or ship did not move one iota for over thirty minutes by now. I remember saying that I dare you to move and it started to rise (or appear to) up towards the 2
o'clock position from where it was. It stopped and I just about fainted with surprise. I continued to speak to it and told it to come closer to me and it proceeded to fly over the building at what seemed to be at a slow speed.
The best way I could describe what I saw was that the craft was a cigar shaped, blimp-type object that had a blue and white flame coming out the back. I was about to lose sight of the craft and I ran
out of the room and realized I had no where to go to continue to view this object in the night sky. Part of me was glad. I willingly gave up and went back to bed, or should I say, back to the bedroom,
only to lie awake for hours, for fear to go to sleep that someone or something was going to abduct me.
I know what I saw was no star and the length of time I viewed it was way too long for it to be a
moving object that was on its way to me all that time. The light emanating from it all that time did not raise or lower in intensity or brightness at all. I was aware of the importance in how I observed this phenomenon.
Prior to this event I experienced (with 2 other people) a minor experience near my house in Bergen Co., New Jersey, 2 years or so earlier. I viewed in the night time a shadowy, birdlike object floating
and gliding over us while we were walking down a barely lit street, behind a local CVS shopping center.
My friends did not see what I saw till the second time I spotted it. It's wing spanned was
approximately 15 feet in width. The wings did not flap like a bird, but were ridged like a glider. It glided over us several times and did not return. No lights emanated from it and it was noticeable
more because of the backlight from the shopping center, which was from the right side of us.
One of my friends that was there is a skeptic about such subject matters. He was and is convinced
we saw something that neither of us have seen or read about. My other friend has many of his own strange experiences and have since spoken and shared our other experiences and feelings.
These events and triggers have opened up a whole new vantage point to my life and the reality I experience today has few borders. The more I read and share with others, the more I realize there is
much more to this reality called life. The understanding of much of it becomes less relevant than the simple desire to experience it all, and to be able to find the moments to share those experiences with
others. These moments are what bring the much needed relief of validation and identification that offer the moments of faith that the truth will be revealed. James
ADDENDUM to the original letter from our Guest, James:
Dated: January 15, 2001 Only recently have I noticed on several Web sites the listing or better yet "questionnaire" labeled "58
ways to tell if one has had alien experiences." To know the origin of that listing, the research, and qualified people behind it might lend some credibility and value to the practical application of its use
to the individual. At face value I answered the questionnaire and said yes to approximately 40. Regardless of the implications concerning the connections to alien experiences, I need an outlet to
voice my experiences and information; and hope I may use your site to do so. What ever was impeding me in the past, seems to be lifting. James Top of page

Subject: Unexplained Event - Location: East Hampton, CT - Date: 12/?/00 - Time: 5:00 PM Zip Code: 06424 - County event took place: Middlesex Event Description:
This happened about two weeks ago. I am 19 and have recently moved out of my parents house. I now live with two friends in a large lake side house. I work the midnight shift and go to college in the
evening. This one particular day I didn't have to go to school so I slept very late. I usually make it to bed by 9:00 AM.
At what I think was around 5:00 PM because it was pretty dark out, I was suddenly awakened by
"something" pushing into my stomach like a hand and slowly turning me to the other side of the bed. I was scared to death and remember trying to call to Dave. He is one of my roommates. My mouth
opened and nothing came out till it was almost over. My voice finally made a grunt about two seconds long.
I never left the surface of the bed, but sort of gracefully turned over without any moving at all. It
felt like someone had both hands on my stomach and was pulling me toward them, making me turn over and face the opposite way. And another thing that I remember that I think scared me the most
was, that I felt like I had the wind knocked out of me. Like I had just exhaled a large quantity of air and wanted to breath.
Nothing like this has happened since. I have never had an unusual experience and have been afraid
of having one. I fell asleep again, so I wonder if I was dreaming? Thanks for listening. Top of page
Reported By: Molly - Corpus Christi, TX - September 4, 2000 at 7:08 PM Subject: Unexplained Event - Location: South Padre Island, Texas - Date: 9-1-2000 - Time: 11:00 PM
Witnesses: 2 - Additional Information: This took place in the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort Event Description: I live in Corpus Christi, Texas. My Mom came down to visit me, and we decided to drive to South
Padre Island for a fun and relaxing trip over Labor Day weekend. We made reservations for one night in the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort, located right on the beach.
It was about a three hour drive, but we arrived there around 3:00 P.M. Upon arrival, we checked in, then went to find our room. Strangely enough, the arrows to the room were pointing in the opposite
direction. Honestly, I think that was just human error and coincidence... never the less, strange.
So we found our room, and we were getting settled and watching TV We brought my little dog who is
a very good traveler. He was excited to be out of the car, but he was jumping and avoiding a certain area on the floor in front of the TV. My Mom and I observed this behavior 2 times, and thought he
probably just smelled another dog smell or something.
Around 11:00 P.M. we got into bed. I was half asleep when my Mom got up to go to the bathroom.
She kept saying "What are these lights, what is this?" Finally I got up and looked myself. I walked over to her, and looked down and my feet were glowing. I immediately thought it was light shining in
from the bottom of the door or the window. We covered up the bottom of the door and made sure no light was coming in from anywhere.
Still, upon every step, our feet would light up. My Mom describes the color of the light to be white. I thought it was more light 'orangish.' We thought it was some type of radiation or chemicals, so we
got on the beds and looked down. Light was all over certain regions on the floor. Kind of in patches especially around the rims of objects. The dogs bed was glowing all around. The table and chairs feet
were lit up. A shirt left on the floor was glowing all around.
There were two main streaks of light in front of the TV. The patches of light changed shape and
moved continuously through the night. There were little brighter points of light that blinked. It was kind of like the light moved in waves across the floor. When we walked, the light would shine brightly
through our feet and toes. If we put our hands down they would light up.
I thought it may be some type of electricity, so I threw water on it. The water lighted up in the air
then fell to the ground, but the patch of light remained glowing. It was bizarre. The light on the floor was only in front of the TV and over on one side of the beds. It was not the entire room.
We were not afraid at all, just amazed and curious. There was no light entering the room at all, yet bright light was being emitted from the floor. It was moving and glowing. It lasted all night long. We
left early in the morning in confusion. Any ideas or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. It was truly astonishing. Molly
